Today is a special day for petite gospel act, Nikki Laoye as she walked down the aisle with her hubby, Alexander Oturu.
The wedding took place at the Grandeur Event Centre, Billingsway, Oregun, Ikeja.
Alexander proposed to Nikki on June 26, 2011 through a blog: www.sammieal.blogspot.com. The lovebirds, during one of their hangouts at the Chicken Republic, Ikoyi, saw Alexander sending Nikki a long prose, eulogizing her beauty and how lucky he was to have found her. Finally, he asked her to marry him. Dumbfounded, Nikki was said to have burst into tears. And unable to hold back, she immediately replied with a big ‘yes’.
Thereafter, the petite gospel singer posted his proposal letter on her facebook wall and congratulatory messages poured in from friends.

Ace actor, Chinedu Ikedieze popularly known as Aki, yesterday pulled a stunt at his fans when he tied the nuptials with his heartthrob, Nneoma, in Lagos unannounced.
Although the wedding, which took place at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Abundant Grace Parish, Ogba, had the trappings of movie star’s event. It witnessed a low turn-out, as the couple wanted it.
Osita Iheme, Aki’s screen twin and closest friend was his best man.
When it was time to kiss the bride, Nneoma humbly sat while Ikedieze unveiled her and kissed her to the delight of the gathering.
Notable among those who graced the occasion were; KC Presh, Peter and Paul Okoye, Chigozie Atuanyan, Madu Chikwendu amongst others.
Celebration continued today with an exclusive reception at Clear Essence California Spa and Wellness Resort in Ikoyi, Lagos.
And there will be a special thanksgiving at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Abundant Grace Parish, Ogba, Lagos, tomorrow Sunday 11, 2011
